  3. A big FAT NO!
  4. True, if you have been through the Primary Plus training with the Arrest, Terry Stop stuff, handcuffing, etc. The Basic 4 hour class DOES NOT give you this Authority.
  5. HELL NO…..NO.

  7. Yes and No. You must have the “Concealed” carry on your SLED Armed Card. If your Card just shows “ARMED” you cannot do body guard, executive protection, etc…..because you must be in full uniform without the concealed wording on your card.
  8. Yes, but this is meant as 30 work days not 30 calendar days. So, if you work 3 days a week, you can essentially work 10 weeks without your SLED Card.
  9. Yes, but they must be hired by the new company and their SLED packet must be in SLED’s hands. Meaning, you just cannot work as an Armed Officer without paperwork from the new company, if SLED doesn’t have your application, you are basically illegal.
  10. Yes, as long as they are supplied by the Security Company and the user has NO ACCESS to delete the footage. We buy passcode protected bodycams from AMAZON, no problem.
  11. No No No. You only have authority on the property you are paid to protect.
  12. True. BUT, this is wrong on so many levels. Yes, I understand SLED does not want the Officer being confused as a cop….BUT, now we have “Open Carry”, this means every swinging D**K that has a CWP gets to carry their weapon but A Trained Security Officer that went through tougher training than the CWP class cannot? This needs to change…..for Officer protection. Sometimes when the Officer gets off duty they need to run in the store real quick to grab bread, milk? What…..they have to completely get undressed? Disarm? Now a cop killer sees the Officer without a weapon?
  13. No. Remember, the CWP only applies to civilians. SLED Security has their own “CWP” called the Concealed card.
