SLED Certification Training is a requirement in SC.
SECURITY OFFICER and SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) Training in South Carolina is a must if you want to work in the Security Profession.
To become a SLED Certified Security Officer as well as an SRO you must attend Training from an Authorized Instructor Certified by SLED.
SLED Security Training is for people who want to work as a Security Officer (Armed or Unarmed) in South Carolina.
SRO Training is NOT part of the regular SLED Training….it is an additional part of training that allows you to work for Public and Private Schools through the Security Company you work for. So, you must be SLED Certified to get this additional Certification added to your “tool belt”.
REMEMBER….you can NOT work as a Security Officer in a School or on a Contracted Property without working for a Security Company and being Certified through SLED.
